Pixels to Polygons 018 – John Madden is My Icon

This week Mario, a small time developer, joins us as we discuss the possible end to the Need for Speed Series, our individual Left 4 Dead endeavors, the new Xbox Live Experience, and the possibilities of a Saw video game. For our main topic the panel discusses what makes a gaming icon and icon and the way Nintendo brands each of its characters.

Pixels to Polygons 017 – Elephants Eat Phones

This week we, like every other network with access to any kind of information medium, discuss the current state of the economy (don’t fret, video games are mentioned). With the seemingly eminent collapse of Midway, what is to blame for the company’s downfall? We also discuss some newly release phones and when companies will begin to embrace gaming as a mobile application.

Pixels to Polygons 016 – Technical Jew

Sorry for the long delay between releases, everyone here has been busy lately. This week we banter about our delicious Thanksgivings, some news stories, and whether gaming is just for nerds anymore.

Pixels to Polygons 015 – Golden Shower

In this week’s episode we have an extended version of “What ya’ Been Playin’” mainly consisting of us bull shitting and Josh singing Asia. We then discuss a possible Disney purchase of EA and the effects it could have on the industry. In other related EA news, an EA moderator has recently threatened to ban an EA forum user’s online account for his/her games for acting out on the forums. The panel tackles whether this is just or not. For our main topic, we briefly discuss horror in video games.

Pixels to Polygons – Obey the Hatefist Episode 001- November 2008

Sorry for the late release of our first mini segment but here is November’s first segment Obey the Hatefist with Brant and George. This month’s episode the two MMO whores discuss the glory days of Ultima Online and how current gen games compare poorly. They also tell what future episodes will pertain to, and general MMO aspects that they believe need to be tweaked.

Pixels to Polygons 014- Brant the River Runner

This week we welcome a new addition to our panel, Brant. We discuss Star Wars for quite a bit and the return of the old E3. In addition, we tell our listeners which one of the newest video game blockbusters (Far Cry 2, Spiderman: Web of Shadows, Fallout 3, or Dead Space) they should spend their hard earned cash on.

Note: Pixels to Polygons is welcoming a slew of changes. We added Brant to the panel and we will also have two podcasts a week starting this week. The regular Pixels To Polygons will be released on Mondays or Tuesdays. In addition, we will release a 5 minute podcast on Fridays. Each week a different podcast developed by each person from Pixels To Polygons will be released. The first week of the month, Josh will release his video podcast Retro Rediscovery. The second week, Jake will release his hardware podcast, Hardware Hub. The third week, George and Brant will release their podcast, Obey the Hatefist that discusses MMORPG’s. As you probably notice, we are short one week. The final week of the month we will release a 20 minute podcast where the whole Pixels To Polygons panel will get together to discuss a predetermined game they had played all of the previous month.

Pixels to Polygons 012- Michael Jackson, Where Art Thou?

In our 12th episode the panel discusses the major events of the Tokyo Game Show and Blizz Con. News varies from the next Halo (made by BUNGIE!) to rumor of a Diablo 3 console port. Jake also reminisces about Michael Jackson and Sanford and Son while Josh whines because he’s not cool enough to enjoy such fine tastes.

We are also running a contest this week for a free TTDS flash cart and a 1 gig MicroSD card. Identify which gaming franchise the song at the end of the episode is from, and email Wiley@warpath.tv. Whoever does so first will win.

Pixels to Polygons 011- Echo

This episode Jake really does not pay attention at all while Josh and George talk about some old games or something (I think maybe about Mega Man 9, and if retro style games are too difficult for new age gamers).

P.S.

Jake’s Madden 09 Disc has been scratched.
Memorials will be held October 21st-23rd
Please RSVP by emailing Jake@warpath.tv

Pixels to Polygons 010 – What Might Be Right for You, Should Be Right For All

W00T! Yes, we are still around for our tenth episode! This week we discuss a lot of news along with some Mega Man junk that Josh and George fight over. Jake also expresses his deepest insecurities and fears (please do not let that deter you). If you like to talk about 80s sitcoms while listening to gaming news, search no further! This is the episode for you.
